College of Medical Sciences

You are welcome to the College of Medical Sciences, University of Maiduguri. Please consider it a privilege to be admitted into one of our highly competitive academic programmes as a new member of the College. The College of Medical Sciences was established 43 years ago by the University of Maiduguri act 83 of 1979. From the first set of 21 Doctors who graduated in 1983, the College has so far graduated a total of 2,932 medical doctors, 216 dental surgeons, 606 Human Anatomists, 644 Laboratory Scientists, 695 Radiographers, 572 Nurses and 242 Physiotherapists as of January, 2022. The website is a guide that contain rules and regulations on academic activities in the College. It also contains all relevant information including the governance systems in the College and University, available facilities and services, student conduct and discipline, and recognized students’ societies and clubs that you are expected to be familiar with. The site also contains basic information about the various departments and staffers in the College.
